TradingDiary Pro is a Windows desktop trading journal that stores all of your trades, positions, notes and tags in a local database file on your computer. Nothing is uploaded to a cloud service – only a hardware ID is sent to the license server. It works offline, imports from 30+ brokers, and costs $149 once instead of a monthly subscription.
Broker statements contain account numbers, positions and your full PnL history. With a local journal that data never sits on someone else's server.
Review trades, add notes and run every report without an internet connection – on a plane, on a laptop, anywhere.
$149 once, including 1 year of upgrades. After that the software keeps working; renewing upgrades for $49/year is optional.
Unlimited trades, accounts and databases. Years of history stay fast because nothing has to travel over the network.
Your journal is a file you own. If a vendor changes prices or shuts down a cloud service, your data is still on your disk.
Copy one folder to back up or move your journal – to an external drive, your own cloud folder or a new PC.

Each journal (TradingDiary Pro calls it a database) is a single file. By default it lives in Documents\TradingDiary Pro, and you can create as many databases as you like – for example one per broker, per strategy or per tax year. Inside a database you can keep any number of trading accounts and trades.
Because the database engine needs exclusive access to the file, keep it on a local drive rather than a network share. To back up your journal, copy the folder. To move to a new PC, copy the folder to the same place on the new machine and open the database from the File menu.
Being local doesn't mean being basic. TradingDiary Pro imports from 30+ brokers, recognizes 25+ option strategies, and produces MAE/MFE, Sharpe ratio, risk, net asset value and country-specific tax reports. See all features.
No. The desktop application stores your trades, positions, notes and tags in a local database file on your PC. Only your PC's hardware ID is sent to the license server to validate the license.
Yes. All journaling and reports work offline. The license is validated periodically; after 5 days without a successful validation the software switches to read-only mode until it can connect again.
Copy the TradingDiary Pro folder (by default Documents\TradingDiary Pro) to an external drive or your own cloud folder. Each database is a single file, so a backup is a simple file copy.
The local desktop application runs on Windows 10 and 11. The browser-based web version (beta) runs on macOS and Linux too, but it stores your data in your own online account rather than on your PC.
No. TradingDiary Pro is a $149 one-time license that includes 1 year of upgrades and support. After that you can keep using it; renewing upgrades for $49 per year is optional.
